Surging boost pressure - turbo problem checklist

  • Increased resistance to flow of gases air/exhaust rotor fouling, due to the charge air cooler or filter silencer being dirty.
  • Two stroke engines could have defective non-return valves.
  • Low air inlet temperatures.
  • Exhaust gas back pressure too high.
  • Deposits on inlet and exhaust valves.
